(Part 2 of 3) If "Embarrassment" felt somewhat funny or like a story you might tell about yourself to friends, "Shame" is the opposite. Shame is dark. Shame needs the dark. It grows when you keep it hidden. Like a fungus, it reeks and ruins everything it touches. To squash shame, add light. Make your feelings known to the people or person who you trust the most. Remember, the action is not who you are, rather, it is what you did. You can acknowledge it, make amends, and move forward without it. Shame is the baggage you don't want to carry anymore. You have to address it to tame it.
